The Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Galerie des Beaux-Arts: a single museum composed of two exhibition spaces.

Open from 11am to 6pm, except on Tuesdays and public holidays (open on 14 July and 15 August).
Entrance to the museum is via the south gate of the City Hall garden.
The museum houses the permanent collections.

Open during when temporary exhibitions are on view, from 11am to 6pm, except on Tuesdays and public holidays (open on 14 July and 15 August).
The Gallery hosts the museum's temporary exhibitions.

Prices for individual visitors

  • Reduced rate when the Gallery is open: €4.50
  • Reduced rate when the Gallery is closed: €3.50
  • Visitors accompanied by a certified professional guide: €2.50

  • Free for under 18
  • Free for disabled people and one caregiver
  • Free admission on the first Sunday of every month (except in July and August).

Reduced rate
Reduced rate is applicable to the following:

  • Group of 10 adults or more (learn more here
  • Job seekers, upon presentation of documentary evidence
  • When the museum is partially closed
  • Happy hours : when you enter the museum less than one hour before closing

All reduced rates and tickets free of charge are applicable upon presentation of documentary evidence.
The MusBA does not offer an online ticketing service. Please come directly to the museum reception.

Pass Musées
The Bordeaux Pass Musées grants holders one year of unlimited admission to the temporary and permanent exhibitions in the five municipal museums and the Botanical Garden.

  • Solo pass: €25 / Duo pass: €37.50

Bordeaux Métropole Carte Jeune
The Carte Jeune is available for free for young people aged up to 25 in 21, living in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. Free of charge. To learn more, click here.

Prices for guided tours & workshops

  • Guided tours : museum entrance fee + €5 - Free for Carte Jeune holders
  • Workshops for kids: Full rate €7 per kid; €5 for Carte Jeune holders
  • Workshops for adults : Full rate €10 per person; reduced rate €7 per person; €5 for Carte Jeune holders

Free admission
Admission to the museum is free on the first Sunday of every month (except July and August), no proof of eligibility required.

On other days, the museum is free for the following people, on presentation of valid proof of entitlement:

  • Young people under 18
  • Disabled visitors
  • Holders of the Carte jeune. Escorts for minors holding the card may also enter for free.
  • Holders of the Pass musées
  • Members of the Friends association of the Musée des Beaux-Arts
  • Holder of the Bordeaux CityPass (sold at the Tourist Information Office)
  • Holders of a professional card (curators, press, ICOM)
  • Journalists
  • RSA beneficiaries
  • Groups accompanied by a social worker (activity centres, social centres, unions, medico-social organisations, etc.)
  • Staff of the city of Bordeaux, the CCAS, Bordeaux Métropole and the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux - EBABX. Free admission does not include accompanying adults.

For groups of ten or more, please book!
Self-guided or guided tours accompanied by a museum mediator or guide must be booked in advance with the visitors department by calling +33 (0)5 56 10 25 25 or emailing:  musba-publics@mairie-bordeaux.fr

The following prices are applicable for groups of 10 or more adults:

Guided tours with a mediator from the museum
Weekday price: €80 per group + reduced rate for each person.
Weekend price: €100 per group + reduced rate for each person.

Visits accompanied by a certified professional tour guide
Rate of €2.50 per person

Self-guided tours for groups of more than 10 people
Reduced rate for each person. Payment must be made in one go for the whole group.

Groups of disabled persons and their caregivers.
Free admission.

Relaxation area
A relaxation area is available next to the gift shop in the museum entrance hall, where you can browse the museum's latest publications, available for sale in the shop.

Cloakroom
Umbrellas, bulky luggage and rucksacks are not allowed in the exhibition rooms. 13 lockers with keys are available for you to leave personal belongings free of charge (not including bulky luggage).
Also available: an unattended coat rack and umbrella stand at the museum reception desk.
For school groups, clothes boxes and bags are available.

Toilets and baby changing
Toilets are available at the museum reception. A changing table is available.

Seating in the museum
Benches are available in the museum and light, easy-to-carry folding stools are available free of charge at the museum entrance.

Eating and drinking
The museum does not offer café or a restauration space onsite but you are welcome to picnic in the museum garden.

Photos
Photos are permitted in the museum for strictly personal use, without flash or tripods. Don’t forget to tag us on social media (@musba_bordeaux on Instagram), using #MusBAetmoi!

Wi-Fi
The museum offers Wi-Fi connection: WiFi Bordeaux. A user account must be created.
