All guided tour slots have been allocated up to the February 2026 holidays.
Next opening for bookings: 5 January 2026.

When to visit
Every day except Tuesday.
Self-guided tours take place while the museum is open to the public, from 11am.
Guided tours can begin before the museum opens to the public:  from 10am on Mondays and 9.30am on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

How long does the tour take?
The tour takes between 45 minutes (primary school) and 1 hour 30 minutes (secondary school).
The tour time indicated when you make your booking does not include toilet breaks. Please plan ahead as a precaution.

How much does it cost for a school class to visit?

  • Self-guided tours

Self-guided tours, without the assistance of a Musée des Beaux-Arts mediator, are free for all schools.
Teachers lead the tour themselves and educational materials are provided.

  • Guided tour with a museum guide

On request, a museum guide can lead tours for school groups, after-school centres or other educational groups.

These tours are:
- free for schools in Bordeaux.
- charged at a flat rate of €30 per group per tour for schools outside Bordeaux.

How many people can be in a group ?
Guided tours and self-guided tours are limited to a maximum of 30 students. Larger groups will be split and two tours will have to be booked.

Your visit to the museum must be prepared with your pupils and accompanying adults. They will be asked to respect the artworks, other visitors and museum staff.
